Satin Jackets was created in 2010 as a studio project from Germany. 12-inch compatible arrangements, a spoonful or two of friskiness and addictive bass-lines unfold their magic, relying on nifty four-to-the-floor grooves topped off with a decent amount of glitter. Bridging the gap between tracks and pop songs, Satin Jackets delivers glossy tunes wrapped in the lushness of modern club sound with that extra amount of basement les connoisseurs desire. Recently, Satin Jackets recruited their buddy Den to take the lead on their live performances while band leader Tim concentrates on producing and his label work.

Blake Robin aka Luxxury is Los Angeles based producer, bandleader and DJ. He has been making waves for the past year with his controversial LUXXURY edits, a series of dubby, slow disco remixes highlighting buried gold in classic songs. They also feature relatively well known AOR tracks that wouldn't normally figure in a 'cool' DJ set (Bee Gees, Blondie, Fleetwood Mac), in hopes of making the familiar more exciting again by unearthing unexpected treasure...like, who knew how sick that bassline buried under the synths in Foreigner's "Urgent" was?
Launched in July 2013 with Madonna "Vogue (Luxxury edit)", the once-per-month series received immediate support from Greg Wilson, Psychemagik, Ursula 1000, Junior Sanchez, Goldroom and hundreds more. His "Hotel California" edit, launched at the top of 2014, injected new life into the familiar classic rock song giving it a sexy, dubbed out beat and transforming the vocals into a vocoderized robot. It was a runaway smash, attracting nearly 300,000 Soundcloud listens, ink from the Wall Street Journal (who published a front page article about him and his unusual performances) and offers from dozens of labels.
Soon thereafter, takedowns resulted in a major internet kerfluffle, all of which served only to boost Luxxury's profile and add to his mystique. For his DJ aka "Live Remix" sets, Luxxury remixes his collection of stems on the fly using Ableton Live and his trusty Akai APC40 Mk2, resulting in a one-time-only experience of mostly unreleased and totally exclusive Luxxury edits.

Sixth Avenue Express (aka David Frederick Lee) is a London-based disco/soul/house producer and DJ. Starting out on classical piano aged 6 years old, David picked up many instruments along the way before arriving at his first original compositions with the aid of a beaten up Evolution MK-149 in the late 90s.
David played in a number of Manchester post-punk bands throughout his teens and early 20s, but always had a fondness for the electronic and experimental end of the spectrum, sighting artists such as Human League, Heaven 17, Giorgio Moroder, Goblin, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Talking Heads and Can among his most influential. His attraction to dance music, which had lain dormant since teenage flirtations with French house and even (whisper it) trance, was rekindled by the emerging sounds of Metro Area and the DFA stable, which opened his eyes to a new world of sonic possibility. After experimenting with a range of styles and different projects, James Murphy & Pat Mahoney’s Fabriclive mix, along with the hugely influential blog Beat Electric, finally convinced David that his future lay in the grooves of disco, boogie and house and he set up Sixth Avenue Express in 2011.
As his debut release arrived on Gazebo at the end of 2012, swiftly followed by his first EP ‘Can’t Stop Feelin’ in early 2013, SAE began to develop some serious momentum - hitting number 3 in the Juno digital charts and receiving high profile support from Greg Wilson and Solomun, who opened his Miami WMC set with ‘Nevada Desert’.
In 2013, friend Matt Trueman was recruited to join David on DJ duties, and later that year saw the well-received release of the ‘I See’ EP on House of Disco. With further releases due on a multitude of labels in the near future, 2014 is set to be an exciting year for SAE and one that will firmly cement his place in the house and disco scene.
